Boxed Mixes

Well, here's something I never thought about. Some of our international friends don't have access to things like boxed macaroni and cheese mix! So I'm going to post a recipe for basic macaroni and cheese that can be substituted instead of using a boxed mix for the Tuna, Mac and Cheese recipe. I hope you can get canned cheese soup.

MACARONI AND CHEESE
16 oz macaroni
1 can condensed cheese soup
1 cup milk

Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain. Stir in soup and milk. Stir over low heat until well blended and hot through. Makes 6 servings.

No, sorry, I don't think we have something like canned cheese soup either.
I can check it out tomorrow when I go to the supermarket, but not much change.

I thought of something. Maybe this recipe for "cheese sauce" can replace the cheese soup:

It consists of butter, flour, milk and grade cheese
(I don't really know the measurements, because I do it on sight, I can look them up if you think this can replace the soup)

Melt the butter and at flour (the same amount as the butter) and stir till it is smooth. Then add the milk and bring to the boil. When it is boiling, add grated cheese.

Thanks! The first recipe I looked at resembled my "cheese sauce" a lot. So I think I know what to do now.
