Got any good Shire Yuletide recipes?

Feeling both hungry and at a lack.

I have a whole duck in the refrigerator, awaiting Christmas eve preparations. Not sure just what I'm going to do with it. Made Duck a l'Orange (don't remember if that's the spelling) a few years back but cannot find the recipe--about to go look online). But I'm sure there are other yummy ways to prepare duck.

We are going to make rolled out sugar cookies. I love ginger biscuits as well (bought some yummy ones this year, Swedish, I think, at an international store, so I think I'll pass on making them).

The Martha Washingtons sound yummy. My mom used to make Pecan Fingers but I can't find that recipe either. Ground pecans, powdered sugar, butter, a little bit of flour, vanilla? salt? Bake until just done (don't let them brown) and roll while hot in powdered sugar. Of course, I don't think they have pecans in the Shire. Butternuts?
