Mushrooms!

I have some huge mushrooms that I think will do well for stuffing or filling. I don`t know what to fill or stuff them with, so ideas would be greatefully accepted.

How about a mixture of finely diced onion, green/red pepper and a little mincemeat. Fry it off in a pan, along wit the diced mushroomstalks, season to taste and put it in the oven on a low temperature. You can put a little knob of garlicbutter on top to make it nice and moist.

That sounds very good. Mincemeat has two translations (I had to look it up) in my dictionary, one said it`s ground up meat and one that had to do with rasins and such. I suppose you mean the meat based mincemeat?

Yes, mincemeat can be ground beef, or a mixture of ground pork/beef. It's a good recipe and you can fill large tomatoes with the same stuffing. Mushrooms and tomatoes are both quite hobbity I think. Putt a little mashed potatoes on the side, maybe some green salad and dig in :)
