Quick and Easy Appetizer

My favorite part of entertaining is the appetizer part. I have been known to have dinner parties with only the appetizer course. I serve the appetizers outside on the patio, and with lots (and lots) of champagne.

Since this is my first offering in the Shire, I'll start with something very easy....time later for the puff pastry and detailed stuffing for mushrooms!

A bag of cut crostinni, or just about any cracker.
One carton salsa (the kind that's in the case with the cheeses...usually local private brand)
Pre-shredded mixture of jack and cheddar cheeses (I told you this would be easy)

If you want to do this in microwave, put crackers on serving plate. If in oven (15 mins @350), put on cookie sheet.

Drain the salsa in strainer. Put on top of crackers....no need to make sure they are neat on each cracker....just put on top as a layer.

Repeat with cheese.

Microwave for 1-2 mins. Serve.

Wow! That is quick and easy. And sounds yummy, too. I'm sure hobbits would approve. :)
