This is such a sweet story! I loved Bilbo's conversation with Lindir; Bilbo's wistfulness and Lindir's curiosity - "The Shire has a flavor?" Somehow I can just see the confusion on the elf's beautiful face as he delivers that line. It was so sweet how they wanted to please Bilbo. You don't see many stories about Bilbo's friendship with the elves, and that this one includes a new recipe to try is just ... 'icing on the cake,' as a hobbit would say!
