This was charming, Mum! Loved all of Pippin’s titles…they made me think of Bilbo’s chat with Smaug. And the sauce! After I finished reading I had to go look up the ingredients on the bottle in my pantry. Sardines/anchovies! No wonder Gandalf and the others were laughing! I did too, because during the story I was thinking about the ancient Romans, who made a highly prized sauce out of fish that was left to sit in vats for months and ferment. So to then find out that Worcestershire sauce is made out of fish too was a hoot! Gandalf was right…better not to know!
