A quick muffin recipe query

catw is in need of muffin recipes and all of mine are in Imperial and I haven't time to convert them. Can any Metric users help her?

I had noted your request before...and was waiting to see if anyone posted any recipes before offering this one:

I make everything from scratch...everything, that is, except muffins...I don''t have good luck with them, they always taste baking-powdery. SOOOOO

I use Duncan Hines muffin mix....and have good results....I especially like the lemon-poppy seed mix. I think another brand puts out makes an apple muffin. I make that too, and sprinkle sugar on the top before baking so the top is crunchy.
