So, I have a rather random questiion that I thought I'd ask here, because of our high proportion of European members.

Even though I've only seen a few, I love rowan trees. When I found out people made rowanberry preserves (jam, jelly, etc) I was delighted, and I really want to try it, but I can't find it in the specialty shops near me or online. Can anyone help me in my quest?

The rowan tree is the mountain ash?
???
I never knew!
I've read about rowan trees for ages (most notably the name of the original Chief Rabbit in "Watership Down", Threarah,or Lord Rowan Tree.

I've learned something today! Thanks! Now I can go to bed.

Ooh, I'd love a drabble!! That's awesome of you, Ruby! I'm a Frodo/Sam girl all the way, so that would be my pairing. Um, R rating, slash, hurt/comfort, anywhere on the quest, the sound of the wind in the trees. Will that do?

And I hope you will please let us know how the rowanberry jelly tastes when you get it. I'm very curious!
