shire_kitchen | A Tisket, A Tasket

We went berry picking this morning! What fun! What hard work! Miranda kept saying "This is the best day ever!" and then her next sentence would be "Can we go home now?" She's too funny.

I now have 5 quarts of blueberries and 5 quarts of blackberries that I must do something with. I think I'm going to make jam from some of each and freeze the rest. The blueberries will be great in pancakes, muffins, quick breads, etc. And the blackberries will make a luscious cobbler. Or how about blackberry sorbet? They're huge! Almost as long as my thumb and twice as thick.
