6 oz. semisweet chocolate 1/4 cup chocolate syrup 1/4 lb. butter (unsalted if you have it) 1 tsp. vanilla 2 eggs, lightly beaten 3/4 cup sugar pinch of salt (skip if butter is salted, or taste test) 1/2 cup flour
1. preheat oven to 350 degrees F. butter and flour an 8 inch square pan. 2. melt chocolate and add syrup, stirring well 3. take pan off heat and add butter, beat til smooth. Add vanilla and eggs and mix thoroughly 4. in a mixing bowl, sift the salt, sugar, and flour together, then add them all to the pan of chocolate stuff and blend thoroughly. 5. into the butter and floured baking pan with it and bake 30 min. 6. allow to cool, and then cut into small squares. (if you make them really small squares they last longer -- about 1 inch by 1 inch gives you 64 of them in this pattern!)

And I don't have a square baking pan, but I guess a round with a diameter of about 9 inches will do too :)

And I never saw a square baking pan in the stores. We don't use them over here. But maybe I could find one at a specialized cook shop.
